High Ambition Briefing Event in Paris and online 26 May

Event date and time: Friday 26 May 2023 from 12:00 to 14:15 CET
Live on Youtube

The High Ambition Coalition to End Plastic Pollution and WWF International, in partnership with the Business
Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty and the Scientists’ Coalition for an Effective Plastics Treaty, would like to invite you to attend our upcoming High Ambition Briefing event online from Paris on Friday, 26 May.

The High Ambition Briefing Event is a high-level, in-person event that will take place just ahead of the formal INC-2 meeting (29 May – 2 June) and will convene government ministers together with key treaty stakeholders, including senior executives of leading businesses and civil society, scientific and youth organisations. The purpose of the briefing will be to identify what “ambition” means for the treaty process and highlight concrete solutions across the focus areas of the treaty: elimination, reduction, circulation, and remediation.

As the upcoming INC meeting aims to lay the groundwork for the “Zero Draft” of the proposed treaty text, this event provides a critical opportunity to engage stakeholder organisations with ministers and delegations on the key elements required to deliver an ambitious and effective treaty that will end plastic pollution.
